“TO CREATE SCULPTURE is to confront our dual nature as both spirit and body. The work must express spirit and speak to the spirit of the person who views it. And yet the work must be embodied. Making sculpture is intensely physical. Doing the work means working with and upon certain materials. It is out of this wrestling with form and matter that spirit can be know.”

Many of my sculptures are in public and private collections. But due to my life situation and the spiritual journey I’ve taken, I’ve found many of my newest works find a home in communities serving people.

My work is in the collections of several churches, the lobby of Planned Parenthood of Chicago, the lobby of the Chicago Bar Association, at the School of Public Health at the University of Illinois at Chicago, the city of Mishawaka, Ind., and the Evergreen Center for mentally and physically handicapped children.

Image of a recent commission - a 3ft. tall bronze sculpture of a woman.  The finished work was installed in 2003 at a the Holy Cross Monastery in West Park, NY. Life experiences and my spiritual path have been my greatest guides in creating works that speak to transforming pain into beauty and using visual images to find hope and healing. spiritfrontsm.jpg (17750 bytes)
